Invisible Vanish
For this project, we aim to use both video and posters appealing to humans that small actions can cause a considerable impact. Therefore, we choose the most ordinary act: turning off and turning on the lights to show our purposes. Each year, humans use 27 trillion kWh worldwide, but 15% of it is actually wasted by forgot to turn off the lights. These impacts are invisible that we cannot see them immediately, but they will definitely happen presently, just like butterfly effects. We apply projection and installation art together, allowing audiences to perceive the disappearance more straightforwardly by involving projection art with the human in the video to identify that humans need to take responsibility for glacial melting. The video expresses abstractly, so do posters. At the end of the video, we imply that if we do not stop our actions, then our home, our city, our country will vanish in one day.The series of posters are expressing three tiny human activities: forgetting to turn off the light, plastic waste, and paper waste. We hope to alert humans to pay more attention next to us, to reduce minor human actions damage to save our planet.
