研究主题案例

How have COVID-19 containment measures affected the US and Chinese economies?

This paper compares and contrasts the COVID-19 containment measures taken by the US and China, with a focus on their health, fiscal, monetary, and education policies. The author identifies successes and failures in each country's approach and suggests potential improvements. The research highlights that while both countries implemented extensive fiscal and monetary measures, China's public health and education policies were more effective, while America's approach was uncoordinated and marked by missteps. The author concludes that a coordinated worldwide effort is necessary to effectively combat a health crisis. The author of this thesis was an alumni of Eureka.

Students present prepared cases, then engage in rebuttal and questioning periods with limited prep. A Eureka alumni won "Triple-Octafinalist" in Harvard Debate Council High School Tournament.
